Healthy Options Project Erris (HOPE): Project Worker

Maura joined the family centre in 2012 and works part time for the HOPE project based in Belmullet, Co. Mayo. Maura is a psychotherapist who has facilitated many groups and individuals in personal growth and Self Care over the last 15 years. She has a particular interest in the mind - body connection and helping people to live in the present moment and how to bring more nourishment and balance to their lives.

As project worker for the HOPE project, she supports individuals who may be socially isolated to become involved in activities and groups to enhance their health and wellbeing and build up their social skills.

Maura also teaches counselling in the GMIT Castlebar.
