How soon can one get an appointment for Counselling/Mediation/Legal Advice?

Due to the high demand for the services on offer in the Family Centre each service operates a waiting list, the length of wait for each service varies but you can be assured that an appointment will be offered to you as soon as one becomes available. Normally one can get a legal advice appointment in one month. The waiting time is longer for the counselling service and can vary from ten to twelve weeks. The waiting time for the Family Mediation Service varies from time to time please contact the Family Mediation Service in Castlebar for more information on 094 9035120.


Qualifications of Staff?

All staff involved in Counselling/Mediation and Legal Advice are professionally qualified and accredited by the appropriate Accreditation Board.

Confidentiality?

Family Life Services is committed to ensuring that all who avail of its services are treated in a private & confidential manner. Confidentiality also serves to maintain & encourage public confidence.

Cost?

Services will not be denied to anyone on the basis of their inability to pay. Some services are free, others charge a small fee. Special concessions for the unwaged are available for all our educational programmes & workshops. Please contact our office for further information.

Appointments/Bookings?

Services: Appointments are necessary for all our services.

Courses: As numbers are limited for our various courses & workshops it is essential to book so as to ensure a place.

When requesting an appointment, you will be added to a waiting list. As soon as an appointment becomes available, you will be contacted immediately.
