Education
The project facilitates various seminar programmes directly related to life following separation. These include support groups for separated people, parenting after separation, as well as links with the Rainbows programme provided in the Family Centre.
Shared Parenting
Parental separation is a distressing event for a child or young person. We aim to support parents in helping their children through this difficult and often confusing time. We are particularly committed to supporting parents who’s children are not living with them. We try to enable parents to develop and maintain good relationships with their children after separation through constructive communication between parents & through good parent child relationships.

Marriage difficulties & the breakdown of relationships are traumatic for all involved. The Family Life after Separation Project offers confidential support, information & education services to assist individuals & their children through the difficulties associated with separation.
Each person reacts differently to separation, the intensity of your emotional reaction may come as a shock. Your feelings can swing dramatically or you may feel nothing.
