Family Life Services, based at the Family Centre, Chapel St, Castlebar, is a "not-for-profit" Community Voluntary organisation supported by the Archdiocese of Tuam, the Family Support Agency, the HSE West and other voluntary and corporate funders.

Applications are invited for the above temporary post for a one year contract period working over four days each week. The successful candidate will have:

• A well recognised professional qualification as a Counsellor / Psychotherapist.
• Have at least three years post qualification experience of counselling / psychotherapy with a high level of experience of working with individual clients, couples and families.
• Hold a current accreditation as a counsellor / psychotherapist to a well recognised counselling association such as I.A.C.P, I.A.H.C.P., P.S.I, or equivalent.
• Preferably have significant experience of working with teenagers and in family therapy.
• Preferably have a third level qualification in psychological, social or medical sciences or a helping profession.
• Must have a general suitability to work as an individual and as part of a dynamic team.

Term: 1 Year temporary contract averaging four working days per week.
Salary scale: €38,842 annually for the four day working week.
