Family Life Services based at the Family Centre, Castlebar was established by the Catholic Archdiocese of Tuam in 1995. The Centre is intended to be a practical demonstration of the commitment of the Church to help individuals & families to maintain and develop good personal and family relationships. The services in the Centre are open to all irrespective of what, if any, religious beliefs they may have.

Our services could not be provided without the support of the HSE - West & the Family Support Agency of the Department of Social & Family Affairs. We consider these agencies as partners in the delivery of our Services.

A Board of Management / Board of Directors are responsible for the overall management of the Centre. The members of the Board have a range of expertise & experience that assists the Director and other staff & volunteers to deliver high quality services. Board members include representatives of the Community, the Diocese & the Health Services Executive - West.

The Director of Services is responsible for the day to day management of the Centre & its services.

From January 1st 2004 Family Life Services has become a company limited by guarantee. Our registered office is The Family Centre, Chapel Street, Castlebar. The name of this company is Cúram Clainne Ltd. & the company number is 369613.

In September 2004 the company became a registered charity (number CHY15845).

Accounts are audited annually by an external Chartered Accountant/Registered Auditor & presented for adoption to the Board.

An Annual Report is also compiled & is presented along with the audited accounts to the Board of Directors, the Archbishop of Tuam, the Health Services Executive – West, & to the Family Support Agency of the Department of Social and Family Affairs
