Management Structure

Family Life Services based at the Family Centre, Castlebar is established by constitution as part of the pastoral ministry of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Tuam.

The ownership of the Family Centre is vested in St. Jarlath’s Diocesan Trust. A Board of Directors consisting of representatives from the community, diocese and the Health Services Executive - Western Area is responsible for the overall management of the Centre and its services.

The Director of Services is a non-voting member of the Board and is responsible to the Board for the day-to-day management of the Centre and its services.

From January 1st 2004 Family Life Services has become a company limited by guarantee. The name of this company is Cúram Clainne Ltd. and the company number is 369613. In September 2004 the company became a registered charity (number CHY15845).

Accounts are audited annually by a Chartered Accountant/Registered Auditor and presented for adoption to the Board.

An Annual Report is also compiled and is presented along with the audited accounts to the Board of Directors, the Archbishop of Tuam, the Health Services Executive – Western Area, and to the Department of Social and Family Affairs.
